AFTER a lifetime devoted to flamenco, Carmen Salinas believes her classical-trained company knows a thing or two about the sexy Spanish pastime.

At 72 years of age her flamenco love affair spans five decades. It began as a struggling student in Madrid, which led to her dancing role in the company of famed choreographer Rafael Aguilar.

And finally she became the artistic director of Ballet Teatro Espanol, the company Aguilar founded in 1961.
