BRIGHTON, Colo. - One of today's leading flamenco guitarists, Rene' Heredia will perform his Gitano puro (pure Gypsy) music in concert at 4 P.M. on Sunday, Feb. 25, at the First Presbyterian Church, 510 South 27th Avenue, Brighton.


Heredia began his training with his father, Jose' Heredia, as a young boy. His international recognition began at the age of seventeen when he was chosen by flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya to be her lead guitarist. He has toured throughout the major capitals of Europe and the United States, performing on live television, at New York's Carnegie Recital Hall, the Champs-Elysees Theater in Paris, the Westminster Theater in London and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
