(noticia) Arts Calendar: Forum to host Flamenco Ole!

The irresistible heat, passion and universal appeal of the tango take center stage as performed by this Philadelphia-based ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

Known for seeking and exploring new trends and influences in flamenco while celebrating the tradition of classical dance, this exciting ensemble dazzles audiences of all ages. Renowned flamenco guitarist and music director Luis Montero takes the best of modern and classical Spanish dance to create dances especially for Flamenco Ole!, most notably Bolero, a dance/theater piece that continues to astound audiences. Season funded in part by grants from the North Carolina Arts Council, Dare County Arts Council, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and Southern Arts Federation.

Performance will be held at First Flight High School Auditorium on Colington Road in Kill Devil Hills. Artists and dates are subject to change. Tickets are $18 advance, $21 at the door. Tickets available at Sanderling Spa, East Carolina Bank, KDH Cooperative Gallery, Corner Stitch & Frame, Manteo Booksellers, Dare County Arts Council, Gray's Department Store in Kitty Hawk. All sales final.
