Friday and Saturday (April 29 and 30), consider a trip to White Rock for more than just the beach. The 3rd Annual Jondo Flamenco Festival features artists from North America and Europe, including Seville-based Cristina Hall, San Francisco guitarist Ricardo Diaz, and local cantaor Pirouz Ebadypour, aka El Pirouz. Friday-night and Saturday-afternoon performances take place at the White Rock Playhouse. If you’d rather stay in town and enjoy this beguiling Spanish music-and-dance form, there’s a third show Saturday evening at St. James Community Square.
