Arrubla was trained in Flamenco in Spain, and later moved and performed in Amsterdam and Europe. Since coming to the United States in 1998, she has conducted Flamenco workshops in numerous schools, colleges, and universities with the goal of “introducing her cultural heritage and the art of Flamenco to the American culture.”

“Flamenco Dance Recital by Las Chicas” will be performed by the students of flamenco dancer, teacher and choreographer Inés Arrubla. Dancers of all ages offer flamenco demonstrations, enriched by an instructional introduction to Flamenco history and meaning by Inés. The presentation will be on July 1, 2005 at 5-5:30 pm as a part of the Mariposa Museum of World Culture's third anniversary celebration.
