(noticia) Mistrial in death of flamenco dancer
By JIM SMITH
World-renowned flamenco dancer Jose Greco was 82 when he died at his home in Lancaster about 4 ½ years ago.
Death came several months after he was forcibly removed from an Amtrak train in Trenton and cited for disorderly conduct by two railroad cops.
The cops said Greco was sleeping on two seats on the late-afternoon train from New York and had refused to give one of the seats to another passenger. They did not recognize the famous entertainer.
Greco, 81 at the time, about 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds, said he was in the grip of severe headaches and dizziness, too ill to move.
He insisted that the railroad cops violently tossed him off the train, causing him to fall to the platform. His lawyers said a foot injury sustained that day later became infected and caused his heart to fail.
