(noticia) Flamenco dance workshop

Heléna Melone, founder of Firedance Studios, will conduct a barefoot flamenco dance workshop 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 25. Location of the workshop will be announced.

Registration is $40 before Feb. 28 and $50 from March 1 until the workshop.

Topics covered in the morning workshop include posture, hands and arms, marking patterns and turns. In the afternoon, she will teach blending moves and movement phrases. Melone is the founder of Firedance Studios in Kittery, Maine.

She has been dancing flamenco since 1994 and belly dance since 1997, as well as pioneering flamenco-belly fusion and fire dancing. (828) 313-0013 or bellydancer@charter.net.
