The Minister for Culture, Carmen Calvo has said that the temporary transfer of the sculpture ‘La Dama de Elche’ will take place today. The bust will be shown in Elche and then will make up part of the permanent collection of the National Archaeological Museum.

Two new important exhibitions have just opened in Seville. The show ‘Gráfica del encuentro’ presents a hundred pieces of work by some of the top printmakers from both Spain and Argentina dating from the second half of the 20th century. It can be found in the Sala Inés in the city.
And at the Museo de Bellas Artes a new cycle called ‘La Obra Invitada’ opens with two wooden screens painted on both sides by Jan Van Hemessen, taken from the San Vicente church in Seville. They date from the 16th century and each will be rotated each quarter this year.
