The week in review
One good thing that comes from sleeping problems (I have such a weird sleeping pattern!) is that I can update on here when nothing else is going on.

This last week was intense. I've finally started going out again. Since the greenline stops running around 1am, I've had to make my peace with the blue line and the lovely 2 and a half mile walk from the station to my house anytime after that. Except for the freezing cold this week, I have no problem with walking that far at 5:30AM. =P

So Tuesday, I worked for Valentine's Day, but afterwards I went out with Mary, Scott, Tanya, Kelly, Davi, and Alex to Coobah. I haven't been to Coobah in so long, and I missed it very much so. Besides the excellent appetizers (Coobah's is my favourite restaurant still) we had and the $5 Sangria pitchers (we must've had about 10 at the table), the music (we were bopping along, singing, and getting up to dance to about everything), and the great company.. it was some of the most fun I've had in 2006 so far. =P I've never really had a date for Valentine's Day before, which doesn't upset me much, but I made Scott my Valentine for the night, hehe.

Wednesday was a gorgeous night. Since I had the day off work, my parents and I went to have dinner at my restaurant, and followed that with seeing a show from Chicago's Flamenco Fest! We went to Martyrs (cute venue, great size for live music) to see Las Guitarras De Espana.. a really large group from Chicago with vocalists, percussionists, flamenco guitar players, a cellist, and a Kora-ist? The band was amazing! The music sent chills down my spine. And to top it off, a lady was dancing flamenco as they played. I've never seen flamenco performed live before, but the passion and beauty of it was bone chilling. My heart raced as she danced. After the performance, I was dropped off at Twisted Spoke for Michael Simon's birthday party! We had a nice group of people there, and spent the night drinking whiskey/scotch, meeting new friends, talking to old ones, and colouring up a storm! I had so much fun, and Mikey liked the painting I made him! Again, a wonderful night.
