Spanish flamenco dance sensation, Joaquín Cortés, today gave an impromptu performance in the fashion store belonging to Jean-Paul Gautier, to the delight of the owner. Cortés new show ‘Ml Soledad’ opens in the Gran Cine Rex in Paris today, and the French fashion designer has worked on the costumes. The show moves on to Madrid in nine days time.

Organisers of the Benicássim International Rock Festival are still adding more top names to the bill. Confirmed today are The Strokes, Madness and French composer Yann Tiersen. The 12th edition of the festival proves to be the most British and biggest so far with other top names including Morrissey, Babyshambles, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand and Echo and the Bunnymen.
