Spain : Flamenco breaks traditional mould in Andalucia

Aurora Gavino’s store offers wide range of polka dotted skirts, candy colour ruffles sporting flamenco illustrations, outfits decked with beads or covered with mirrors, vintage gowns, embroidered silk, velvet and gauze.

A new flamenco fashion trend is making waves in conservative circles of Andalucia region, defying traditions. Local women are opting more and more for flamenco dresses to leave a mark at the traditional spring fair ‘Feria de Abril’.
