Adance form whose tradition was once revered and untouchable, flamenco has gone on a wild fusion kick in the past 10 years. This trend has had traditionalists muttering under their breath about the loss of flamenco's true spirit and purity.

Let them mutter. Like ballet, flamenco is strong and resilient enough to survive in both its classical form and in a fusion form such as Tango Flamenco, the show that Madrid's Compania Talent Danza brings this week to Theatre Jean-Duceppe of Place des Arts.
