(noticia) Ojos de Brujo brings the spirit of street indoors

You might have expected the audience for last night's Fete de la Musique to have been disappointed that the much anticipated street festival not only had to be moved inside the formal Gusman Center for the Performing Arts because of the threat of bad weather, but that the rain, for the first time in weeks, failed to materialize.

But with Ojos de Brujo, the incendiary flamenco-hiphop-punk collective from Barcelona, heating up the stage, the spirit of the street filled the plush red seats. Ojos de Brujo celebrates anarchy and energy - and for this night, Miami's diversity.

A party for the summer solstice produced by the Rhythm Foundation and the Miami Performing Arts Center, and presented by the French Consulate and Mary Brickell Village, Fete de la Musique gathered an impressively varied audience.
