Dancer Helps Ignite

When dancer Sarah Parra moved into a house near Redondo Avenue and Third Street and began practicing flamenco, her neighbors were not fans of the dance’s signature foot stomping and hand clapping.

So, they left her threatening notes. And broke the windows on her car.

“Even I would not want to live next to a flamenco dancer who practiced all the time,” she laughed. “I figured it was time to rent studio space.”
